Erik Höglund, Swedish designer of glass. He was born 1932. During his 50 years as an active artist .Between 1953 through 1973 he collaborated with Boda Glasswork where he revolutionized the art of glass in Sweden. He created many public works in Sweden and abroad in a variety of materials (glass, wrought iron and bronze). In the late 1980´s Erik Höglund began a very fruitful relationship with Studioglas Strömbergshyttan which lasted until his death in 1998. During this period he renewed himself and Swedish glass once again and now with a zest of color never seen before.
His work is represented at museums all over the world: National museum, The Erik Höglund Collection in Stockholm, Cooper-Hewitt Design Museum New York, Corning Museum of glass New York, State Bellerive Kunstgewerbemuseum in Zürich and many more.
